| It's been a while...... 9 months, to be precise. A lot's happened, a lot hasn't changed much.
Let's see, my brother got married, I survived another Design Studio project, and now I'm about to graduate. I'm still dating Lucy, I have a 6 mo. job in Brookings, SD, and my Mom had found a job, but then lost it. My dad's a travelling man (no longer in and out of jail), my brother might be moving away, and my sister still lives a block from my parents.
That's my life in a thin nutshell.
Peace.

| So I'm back. I made it safely, which would be indicated by me writing this.
PGA TOUR: That was a good experience. It was good to work in a professional environment with all the things that actually have to get done. But I did discover that I don't think I'm quite cut out for IT or IS, since those seem to be a lot of maintaining rather than creating. Besides work, the PGA TOUR was really neat. I got to play at TPC Sawgrass, which was spiffy (granted, it was only the Valley Course). I didn't have the time to do a lot of non-work internship stuff, which was a downer, but I do think that if I had only done the internship that I would have greatly enjoyed that also.
Summer Training Program: So I asked God at some point to kick my butt (if it was His will) and I guess it wasn't His will. I was challenged, I was shown my weaknesses and apathy, I was shown what life and passion combined can look like. One benefit (in my mind) of the length of STP is that if a spiritual plateau is reached, then the decline and stable growth happen while we're still at STP. Building good habits in a (more) realistic environment.
So, those are some thoughts from this summer. Feel free to e-mail me or comment if you want to know more.
Pax vobiscum.

| Hey, guess what, I made it.

| Dear diary,
Today I saw the most extraordinary movie: the Davinci Code. It was soooooooo romantic. ~sigh~ And that Tom Hanks...... dreamy.........~pitter patter of my heart~ And in 2 days I'm leaving all I've ever known my home, my family, my dog....... it's so heartwrenching......... someone hold me.........
................ enough silliness. Both events, at their most basic levels, are true. DC was interesting, I might need to see it again since the first time I see movies it's just to sit and take in. Other part's true also, since I'll be gone for 2 months in sunny Florida. Lucky for me, I already have a minor tan.
So, that's what's going on. Packing, avoiding packing, getting stuff ready, inventorying........ yeah..........
Shalom. | | |
| Well, it looks like I've finally decided on what I'm going to do this summer.
First, I'll put to rest some questions regarding Timberlake: no, I will not be returning to Timberlake. (Sorry to those who were hoping for the strange Asian dude with a big stick to be out there.) Camp has been awesome, but I felt it was time to move on to other great things.
And the great thing I'm doing this summer is being in Jacksonville, FL in the Summer Training Program through the Navigators. Down there I will have times of prayer, intense Bible studies, worship, fellowship, speakers, beach ministry and discipleship. In addition to being in STP, I will also have a 40 hour a week internship at the PGA headquarters.
So, that's what I'm up to. For those out at camp, have a blast without me.
Peace.
